Head of Technical department

Our client – European HVAC equipment and parts producer – looks for a strong professional to set up Technical department in Moscow. Tasks:
  • Technical support:
Serves as a technical expert representative across teams, clients, and the core industrial segments
Manage product-related support, feedback and inquiries from users
Prepare product documents including Market Requirement Documents and product use
Participation in customers research activity
Pre-sale support of sales team
Offers technical support across practices in offering definition and positioning
Suggests alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently, and/or with greater reusability, and / or longer life.
Assists in strategic sales efforts from a technical perspective.
Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients.
  • Competence center:
Promotes and coordinates technical knowledge harvesting within the organization
Development internal / external technical trainings program
Tracks and identifies new opportunities to improve our methodology and training offerings
Cooperation with industry experts and associations
Defines, communicates and enforces technical standards
Building applications knowledge data base
Building test facilities
  • Product marketing:
Research and analyze market conditions
Identify key competitor, technology and consumer trends
Co-ordinate market research to track customer and end-user feedback
Identify opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements
Develop product marketing plan and event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand
Plan product launch
Support sales and marketing with the necessary product knowledge and technical expertise
Conduct product presentations
Participate in development of sales tools and sales training material
Drive ongoing improvement in sales
Support of certification process
  • Aftersales management:
Development of aftersales strategy
Support and contentious improvement of warranty support
Building service business

Requirements:
  • Relevant experience from western company
  • System approach
  • Relevant educational background with focus on process automation or electric engineering
  • Skills in usage of PLC, SCADA, imbedded electronics, parametric programming
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent technical knowledge
  • Fluency in written and verbal English (German will be seen as advantage)
  • Proven ability to think independently and handle multiple projects through to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff
  • Able to make effective presentations to diverse groups
